About the position

The Database Specialist will serve as a primary point of contact for database queries, manage backups, and assist with customer requests. This role is part of a team responsible for handling large datasets through the creation and processing of batch files, SQL, and scripts, contributing to the company's commitment to data quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Query SQL databases to provide exports in various formats from/to many sources.
• Assist in SQL troubleshooting and other support functions.
• Develop scripts and procedures to export data.
• Create programs, files, and scripts to support optimized workflows.
• Convert raw data from outside sources into the database for use in queries.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• BS degree in information- or computer-based subject, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Skilled in the use of SQL server system.
• Programming experience in T-SQL is a plus.
• Ability to extract, transform, and load data from various systems.
• Customer service experience is recommended.
• Ability to create and modify Stored Procedures.
• Knowledge of choosing appropriate data types for efficient storage and optimal performance.
• Good written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with database backup, recovery, and maintenance.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reside locally, within commuting distance.
