About the position

The Databricks Architect/SME will play a crucial role in leading the design of data architecture solutions for virtualization, big data analytics, and cloud computing within the criminal justice team. This position requires extensive technical expertise to resolve data architecture-related issues, collaborate with business analysts and technology teams, and ensure that client requirements are met through effective communication with developers. The role also involves introducing best practices and utilizing various programming tools to develop plans and lead major consulting assignments focused on data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of data architecture solutions for virtualization, big data analytics, and cloud computing.
• Resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams.
• Share technical expertise and introduce best practices in data architecture.
• Use tools like Closure, Scala, Python, and R to develop plans and lead major consulting assignments.
• Design, define, develop, and test cloud solution components as part of the team.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in a data analytics discipline.
• Experience with the Databricks platform, including security features, Unity Catalog, and data access control mechanisms.
• Knowledge of data classification and masking techniques.
• Experience working with business and IT groups to coordinate plans and activities related to data analytics.
• Expertise in applying data analytics across multiple fields and high-impact assignments.
• Experience in developing plans and leading major consulting assignments in data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
• Knowledge of data security principles and best practices.
