About the position

The Senior Data Center Engineer will work within the Security & Trust Organization (STO) to build, deploy, and support mission-critical networks in secure environments. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph and involves ensuring compliance with security guidelines while managing system security plans and accreditation processes. The engineer will collaborate with a team to maintain secure computing environments that utilize various operating systems and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and support mission essential networks in secure environments.
  • Secure compliance with NISPOM and ICD guidelines.
  • Assist in the creation and management of System Security Plans (SSP).
  • Manage Plan of Action and Milestone (PO&AM) documentation.
  • Assist with the accreditation process of systems.
  • Perform network administration including installations, configurations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network functions.
  • Work with various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
  • Utilize virtualization technologies such as VMWare vSphere.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph.
  • Experience with DIACAP, NISPOM, and ICD requirements.
  • Proficient in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting network functions in a secure environment.
  • Experienced in network administration with Cisco Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.
  • Adept with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, Windows Server 2016/2019, and Windows 10.
  • Experience with VMWare's vSphere virtualization suite.
  • Skilled in system patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows systems and their interaction in a network environment.
  • DoD 8570 Industry Certification in one or more of the following: CISSP, Security+, CISA, GSEC, CAP, SCNA, SCNP, SSCP, GSLC, GSE.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.
  • Experience with Centralized Logging Products (e.g., Splunk).
  • Knowledge of COMSEC and encryption technologies.
  • Experience administering cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.).
  • Experience administering Jira.
