About the position

Volt is seeking a Data Center Technician to assist with an admission project in a state-of-the-art data center in Mesa, AZ. The role involves physical tasks such as removing hard drives from servers, disconnecting cables, and organizing equipment for shipping. This position is ideal for individuals who can work both independently and as part of a team, and who are comfortable with the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the decommissioning project in the data center.
• Remove hard drives from servers.
• Disconnect all cables from servers.
• Remove servers from racks.
• Organize equipment on pallets for shipping.

Requirements

• Familiarity with computer hardware, specifically hard drives and ethernet cables.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently as needed.
• Willingness to stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. repeatedly.
