About the position

The Data-center Test Technician at Insight Global is responsible for performing comprehensive hardware failure analysis to ensure the quality of products and systems. This role involves reconfiguring hardware and firmware, running diagnostics, and troubleshooting systems. The technician will also provide break-fix support for new rack deployments and assist with incident management and project-related activities in the data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware failure analysis to determine product quality.
• Reconfigure hardware and firmware as needed.
• Run diagnostics and troubleshoot systems.
• Provide break-fix support for new rack deployments.
• Assist with incident management support for sustained operations.
• Support project-related activities as directed by the customer.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Level 2 experience in a Test Lab environment with hardware.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs independently or in partnership for heavier items.
• Experience with fiber cabling, including running and terminating.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a geographically dispersed team.
