About the position

The Data Center Technician will be responsible for the daily operations of the Data Center Services (DCS) group within a banking/financial environment. This role involves managing the full life cycle of data center infrastructure projects, including planning, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of server hardware and devices. The technician will work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, providing excellent customer service and regular progress updates.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Data Center Services (DCS) group.
• Plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain server hardware/devices.
• Assist with troubleshooting server, network, and storage systems.
• Label cables and perform racking and stacking of equipment.
• Conduct base configurations on servers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing data center infrastructure projects.
• Strong cabling experience (5E/6E/Copper/Fiber Optics).
• Experience with rack and stack of servers and switches.
• Knowledge of UCS, Cisco, and DCIM tools like Sunbird.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with server blades.
• Familiarity with other DCIM tools.
