About the position
The Datapath R&D Senior Software Engineer role involves researching, architecting, designing, developing, and testing software for various products and services. The position focuses on writing software to efficiently process userplane packets using technologies such as SRIOV and DPDK, with responsibilities including packet header manipulation, routing lookup, and quality of service policing.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product Managers and other R&D teams to determine feasible solutions.
- Develop code in C/C++ for software applications.
- Unit test code to ensure quality and performance.
- Work on NIC drivers and data path in multiple environments including custom hardware, virtual machines, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with customer support teams to address field issues.
- Study and learn new areas of technology and explain them to others.
- Familiarize oneself with various packet protocols and standards to effectively parse packets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of IP/TCP/UDP networking protocols.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
- Experience working with Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with routing protocols and DPDK.
- Understanding of cloud-native technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and self-motivate.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and mentor junior team members.
