About the position
The Day Porter/Custodian position is a part-time role focused on maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in assigned areas. The role involves various custodial duties, including cleaning restrooms, floors, and surfaces, as well as restocking supplies. The position requires weekend availability and the ability to work independently while following established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform custodial duties to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Clean windows and glass surfaces
- Restock supplies in restrooms and other areas as needed
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Previous experience in floor care, commercial cleaning, or custodial work is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
- Must have own transportation
- Must pass a background and drug screen
- Weekend availability is a must
