About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager at Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is responsible for overseeing the care systems and processes that deliver resident care. This full-time position operates on a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, and involves collaboration with other RN Unit Managers to ensure high-quality nursing care in a supportive environment. The role emphasizes leadership, compassion, and a commitment to the values of service, honesty, accountability, respect, and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises nursing care provided by nursing assistants, licensed vocational/practical nurses, and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews, recommends hires, and trains employees.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs work.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise required to effectively supervise all nursing activities in the facility or the units to which assigned.
  • Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems relative to the unit(s).
  • Promotes and protects resident's rights; assists residents to make informed decisions; treats residents with dignity and respect.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in this state.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience preferred as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
  • Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures necessary for providing quality care.
  • Must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical/drug screen.
