About the position

The Universal Caregiver is a crucial role within our Assisted Living and Residential Care Communities, focusing on direct interaction with residents. This position is responsible for providing essential care, observing changes in residents' health and needs, and ensuring effective communication of these observations. The caregiver's adaptability is vital in responding to the evolving needs of both the facility and its residents, ultimately helping them maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring.
• Administer medication setup and administration after training.
• Update resident records in a timely manner according to company policy.
• Report changes in residents' physical conditions and behaviors to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
• Prepare and cook food according to posted menus and assist with serving meals.
• Engage residents in daily scheduled activities and document their participation.
• Attend all required staff trainings and in-service meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director or team lead.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months of related experience or training working with seniors.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Valid CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers cards.
