About the position

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) position at CareGivers Homecare involves providing essential home care services to clients in the Rome, NY area. Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to clients, ensuring they feel clean and refreshed.
  • Prepare meals and learn new recipes for clients.
  • Maintain a tidy home environment for clients.
  • Ensure clients follow their medication schedules.
  • Transport clients to appointments or run errands as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be certified PCA, HHA, or CNA (expired certifications accepted).
  • At least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years is preferred.
  • Must be caring, dependable, and meet health requirements.
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a DSP or consumer-directed personal assistant.
  • Qualified nursing students can work as HHAs.
