About the position

The Daycare Assistant Teacher at Lauren's Place is responsible for supporting the educational and developmental needs of children in a Montessori home daycare setting. This role involves creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and learning, while ensuring the safety and well-being of the children. The ideal candidate will work closely with children, assisting in various activities and maintaining a clean and organized space conducive to learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning circle time and group activities
• Support art projects and creative activities
• Assist with feeding and light cleaning after meals
• Diapering and personal care of infants and toddlers
• Monitor children during nap time
• Provide a safe and stimulating environment that encourages children's growth and development
• Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized space conducive to learning

Requirements

• Previous experience in a daycare setting or similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
• Ability to engage and educate children of various age groups
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers is a plus
• Certification in childcare or early childhood education is desirable
• First Aid and CPR certification is desirable
