About the position
All About Kids in Anderson township is seeking passionate toddler teachers to work with children aged 12 months to 2.5 years. The role involves developing lesson plans, meeting individual needs of children, and creating a nurturing environment that supports cognitive and social development. Ideal candidates will have a love for working with children and a willingness to learn, as training will be provided for the right individuals.
Responsibilities
- Develop daily lesson plans.
- Meet the individual needs of the children.
- Communicate with parents in a variety of mediums (verbal, written, electronic).
- Participate in staff and training meetings.
- Design age-appropriate room arrangements to support the goals and developmental levels of the children in the classroom.
- Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning.
- Present expectations that are age-appropriate to the child.
Requirements
- Valid Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) or degree in the education field preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Background check is a requirement.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in a child care center or with kids is preferred but not mandatory.
- Passion for education and working with children.
