At the Learning Center, we take care of our teachers because we know just how important you are to creating a loving home for the children we serve. Some of our teachers have been with us for over 10 years! We hope to make you a part of the Learning Center family as well. We have multiple openings available for teachers at the Learning Center: Teachers or Teaching Assistants Full-Time or Part-Time Infant, Toddler, or Preschool We also have increased benefits! Starting pay at $18.00 per hour Opportunity for pay increase every 6 months (dependent on performance review) Paid time off between Christmas Eve and New Years Day Paid national holidays (including Thanksgiving, MLK Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, and Labor Day) 5 paid vacation days (starting after 6 months of service) (full-time only) 5 paid sick days (starting after 6 months of service) (full-time only) Paid maternity leave (starting after 6 months of service) (full-time only) 50% off tuition for teachers with children who attend the Learning Center (full-time only) Full-Time Shifts: 6:45AM - 3:00PM 8:00AM - 4:00PM 9:00AM - 5:30PM Part-Time Shifts: 6:45AM - 12:00PM 12:00PM - 5:30PM Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Successful completion of state background check Successful completion of health assessments Additional Requirements: Ability to arrive on-time, everyday Past experience working with children between 6 weeks - 5 years old Exceptional patience for children between these ages All other required training, certifications, and licenses will be completed within your first week on the job. Responsibilities Arrive on-time, everyday Clock-in and clock-out everyday Maintain a safe and sanitary classroom consistent with health and safety standards Supervise snack and lunch-time and ensure safety at all times Supervise outdoor playtime and ensure safety at all times Organize age-appropriate activities for your classroom Track children's activities through our online system and provide an electronic report to parents at the end of each day Communicate with parents regularly Collaborate with other teachers and have fun! We are open to caregivers of all kinds, including past experience as a nanny, a babysitter, a nurse, or a caretaker to your own children, nieces or nephews!
