About the position

As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. This role involves overseeing daily activities, engaging with students, and ensuring a safe and stimulating setting. Your skills in lesson planning and early childhood education will enable you to create engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum, contributing to the overall growth and well-being of the children in our care.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate activities to promote child development.
• Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Utilize lesson planning skills to create engaging and educational experiences.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
• Incorporate special education techniques for students with diverse needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall daycare experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass ECECD background check and obtain CPR card upon hire
• Physically able to lift/change children in diapers (25 LBS +)
• Organized and able to meet deadlines
• Ability to create and execute lesson plans
• Must follow all regulating bodies including ECECD, NECPA, CACFP, NM PRE-K
• Must be able to stay up to date on all required training

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or similar (preferred)
• 45 hour certification
• CDA certified
