About the position
The Daycare Teacher position at Smart Start Daycare & Preschool involves working in a family home daycare setting with a preschool program. The role focuses on teaching and engaging with children through various activities, ensuring their safety, and adhering to educational philosophies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a nurturing and educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety of children in your care.
- Prepare mealtimes and snacks for children.
- Change the diapers of infants.
- Prepare and serve meals.
- Assist children, individually or in groups, with lessons and projects.
- Clean and sanitize to ensure all interactive areas are sanitary and safe.
- Monitor and keep schedules to ensure that children have enough rest, physical activity, and playtime.
- Participate in teaching circle time lessons and making crafts with the children.
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- CPR Certification.
- First Aid Certification.
- Experience in daycare or preschool setting.
- Ability to lesson plan.
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) units preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and be alert to children's safety.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Pleasant and friendly disposition.
- Punctual and reliable.
