CareGivers Home Care is seeking a dedicated and certified Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join our team in Canton, NY. As a PCA, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care to clients in their homes, ensuring they feel safe, clean, and comfortable. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with personal care tasks, meal preparation, medication management, and light housekeeping to maintain a healthy living environment. In addition to providing personal care, you will also be responsible for running errands and shopping for clients, which requires a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as required.
  • Manage medication schedules and ensure clients adhere to their prescribed routines.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients.
  • Run errands and shop for clients as needed, utilizing a reliable vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families regarding care needs and updates.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified Personal Care Aide (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • At least 3 months of previous caregiving experience within the last three years is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transportation.
  • Must be 18 years or older and meet health requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in home care or personal care services.
  • Ability to learn new recipes and prepare meals for clients.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
