About the position

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) position at CareGivers Home Care involves providing essential personal care services to clients in a retirement community. The role is designed for certified individuals who are dependable and caring, offering flexible shifts to accommodate various schedules. The PCA will assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and maintaining a safe living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care services to clients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs as required.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy living environment for clients.
  • Ensure clients follow their medication schedules and assist with reminders.
  • Transport clients for errands and appointments using a reliable vehicle.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified PCA, HHA, or CNA (expired HHA certification is acceptable).
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must meet health requirements and be dependable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in home care or personal care services.
  • Ability to learn new recipes and adapt to clients' dietary needs.
