Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance and health-related services to patients/clients in their place of residence.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
• Work cooperatively with patients/clients and their families.
• Report observations and problems to the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and either a high school graduate or enrolled in a vocational education program.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel to assignments and auto insurance.
• Must have proof of competency through education and/or experience or demonstrate competency to perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and be competent to perform tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Must successfully complete a competency evaluation skills checklist and pass a written skills test if performing G-tube feedings.
• Must agree to and pass a criminal history check and an employee misconduct registry check.

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrate interest in the welfare of elderly and/or disabled individuals.
• Comfortable working with clients who have pets at home.
