About the position
We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our team, focusing on helping students in 6th through 8th Grades achieve their academic goals in math. This part-time position involves providing one-on-one instruction or leading group sessions, allowing tutors to make a positive impact on students' learning journeys.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in math at the desired school.
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Utilize learning technologies and resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and motivation.
- Monitor and track students' academic performance and provide feedback on areas of improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience working with students of all ages, from preschool to adult education.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and educational best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Familiarity with learning technologies and online tutoring platforms.
- Passion for education and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of tutoring experience (Preferred).
- 1 year of teaching math experience (Preferred).
