We are seeking a skilled DB2 Data Analyst for a permanent position that offers a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000 annually, along with a bonus of 10-12%. This role is fully remote within the USA, and we are looking for candidates with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The primary responsibilities include installing and maintaining database software across various platforms, specifically focusing on DB2 on z/OS and DB2 Universal Database (UDB). The successful candidate will also work with other database systems such as Oracle, Oracle Golden Gate, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the application development team to manage service requests and ensure the ongoing monitoring of various database environments. You will be responsible for managing backup and recovery strategies for databases, as well as reviewing SQL for performance considerations. Additionally, you will administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures that ensure the integrity and security of all company database structures. The position also involves assisting in the design and implementation of physical database designs and performing capacity management for storage, CPU, and memory. You will need to understand the proper use of databases and share your technical knowledge while working in Mainframe, Linux, and Windows environments. Your role will include participating in system performance tuning and capacity planning for DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server databases. You will schedule, plan, install, and test new products and improvements to computer systems, ensuring that proper data protection procedures exist for backup and recovery of databases. Furthermore, you will design, develop, and implement software routines to automate repetitive database administration tasks and monitor for exceptional database conditions that require immediate attention. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
