The Technical Specialist position for the ODOT Information Systems Branch, Enterprise Application Services, is primarily responsible for analyzing and designing solutions to networking issues, providing technical support to various departments, and troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to both hardware and software. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of standard concepts, practices, and technologies in the field, as well as a bachelor's degree and at least 9 years of equivalent experience in a related area. The contractor will perform several key tasks, including analyzing and evaluating ColdFusion application software code to identify features that will be deprecated, removed, or unsupported in ColdFusion 2023. They will also recommend mitigation options for applications that contain deprecated features and upgrade application software code to utilize and create Azure Deploy Pipelines as necessary. Additionally, the contractor will troubleshoot issues related to agency ColdFusion applications that have been migrated from version 2018 to 2023 and provide recommendations for the migration of applications that require mediation. Effective communication is essential for this role, as the contractor must clearly articulate their findings both verbally and in writing, interact with users to understand their needs, and document those needs accurately. Experience with requirements management and performing analysis within source code is crucial, as is the ability to architect and document the logical structure for software systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in developing, testing, and deploying ColdFusion applications, as well as experience with ColdFusion solutions and code analyzers.
