About the position

The DBA/SQL Developer position involves implementing, configuring, maintaining, and performing critical SQL Server RDBMS systems for various environments, including on-premises and cloud customer systems. This role is essential for optimizing database performance, ensuring security, and supporting developers with database-related tasks. The position is based in Teaneck, NJ, and offers a hybrid work model after initial training.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, availability, and security.
• Configure and maintain database servers, processes, and system health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in real-time, including performance tuning.
• Assist developers with query optimization and schema refinement.
• Automate recurring database tasks and support scheduled maintenance and deployments.

Requirements

• Solid command of SQL, SQL Server tools, and performance tuning.
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backups, and recovery.
• Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) for SQL Server.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and Unix shell scripting.
• 5 years of experience as an SQL Server DBA, including Windows Server and Active Directory management.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent experience.
