About the position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Python programming to manage, maintain, and optimize our databases while utilizing Python for automation and data analysis tasks. This role is exclusively for local candidates to facilitate in-person collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain databases to ensure data integrity and availability
• Develop scripts and automation tools using Python to streamline database operations
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Collaborate with software developers and other team members to optimize database queries and processes
• Manage database security and access controls to protect sensitive data
• Create and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator with strong knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems
• Proficiency in Python programming for automation and data analysis tasks
• Familiarity with database design principles, normalization, and indexing techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
