About the position

The DBA position is focused on managing and optimizing Oracle databases, specifically utilizing Oracle 12c and 19c RAC environments. The role requires extensive experience in database engineering, particularly in high availability and disaster recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database encryption, PL/SQL, and Exadata, ensuring that the databases are secure and efficiently managed. The DBA will be responsible for implementing and maintaining database backup and recovery processes using RMAN, as well as automating these processes through Linux shell scripting and orchestration tools. Strong communication skills are essential, as the DBA will need to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that database solutions meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Oracle databases, specifically Oracle 12c and 19c RAC environments.
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery processes using RMAN.
• Automate database backup and recovery processes using Linux shell scripting and orchestration tools.
• Ensure database security through Oracle database encryption and other security measures.
• Collaborate with teams to understand and meet database requirements for high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• 6+ years of experience in Oracle 12c/19c RAC Database Engineering.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting, automation, and orchestration tools.
• Experience with Oracle Database Backup and Recovery automation using RMAN.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of high availability and disaster recovery requirements and solutions.
