About the position

The Salesforce Data Migration Contractor will play a crucial role in the data migration process for a new Case Management System, transferring data from the legacy Bitfocus platform to a Salesforce-based environment. This position requires a full-time commitment with a hybrid work schedule, including onsite work in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesdays. The contractor will ensure data integrity, security, and accuracy throughout the migration process while collaborating closely with internal teams and the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough review of the current data within the Bitfocus system.
• Develop the data mapping strategy to align existing data fields with the structure of the new Salesforce environment.
• Identify data inconsistencies, duplicates, or inaccuracies within the Bitfocus system and cleanse the data.
• Extract data from the Bitfocus system and populate it into Salesforce templates.
• Load the cleansed and transformed data into the new Salesforce environment following best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive testing for all migrated data to verify relationships, dependencies, and functionality.
• Document all migration steps, including issues encountered and resolutions, for future reference.
• Support users and stakeholders to ensure the new system functions as expected.

Requirements

• Experience as a data migration specialist proficient in SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Salesforce data architecture preferred.
• Experience in data migration and database management, particularly with SQL queries.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team to extract data, validate, and ingest into Salesforce.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Salesforce data architecture is a plus.
