About the position
As a Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT) at Nystrom & Associates, you will be part of Minnesota's leading adherent DBT program certified by the Department of Human Services (DHS). This role involves working with a team of DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinicians to design and implement treatment interventions tailored to the needs of patients. You will manage a caseload of both DBT and Outpatient Therapy clients, ensuring high-quality care and collaboration with other professionals.
Responsibilities
- Be part of a DBT Consultation team
- Participate in all components of adherent DBT treatment
- Attend monthly trainings facilitated by DBT teammates
- Complete a mental health diagnostic assessment on new patients
- Provide high quality ongoing therapy with patients
- Help lead weekly DBT Groups
- Maintain complete and organized outpatient electronic health records
- Ensure appropriate coordination of care for patients and collaboration with other professionals
- Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings including case and peer reviews
Requirements
- Licensed mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
- Experience in providing therapy and conducting assessments
- Knowledge of DBT principles and practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records
- Previous training in DBT
- Familiarity with mental health diagnostic assessments
