About the position

The Delivery Driver position at O'Reilly Auto Parts involves completing deliveries and pickups on assigned city counter routes in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner. The role requires effective communication with the management team regarding parts delivery and maintaining the delivery vehicle according to company policy. The position also includes quality checks of loads and may involve training new team members.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery of store orders using a company vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicate with the city counter management team regarding parts delivery to stores on assigned routes.
• Manage delivery/pickup forms for company stores, city counter, and outside vendors.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is maintained according to company policy.
• Deliver all orders accurately to the correct locations following specific route schedules set by the supervisor.
• Quality check loads before loading to ensure correct parts have been pulled and accounted for.
• Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices.
• Train new team members and ensure all training is conducted according to schedule.

Requirements

• Clean driving record with the appropriate license required by state.
• Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately.
• Maintain a professional appearance and a positive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Previous driving experience.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
