About the position

As the DC Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control within the organization. The primary objective will be to ensure accurate inventory levels, optimize inventory processes, and minimize costs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to collaborate with various teams across the organization. You will serve as the main point of contact to ensure proper controls exist for the movement, adjustment, tracking, monitoring, and reporting of Distribution Center inventory. You will be responsible for the identification, root cause analysis and correction of inventory issues including the development of respective SOPs for sound inventory practices. Additionally, you will perform onsite reviews and audits of the Distribution Center functions and Pool Points focused on the improvement or identification and correction of controls governing the movement and/or accountability of inventory. As the DC Inventory Control Manager, you will communicate directly with our Distribution Centers, Pool Points and Stores regarding any issues or areas of concern noted during audits or as directed by Inventory Control, Asset Protection or Shortage Control Sr. Management. You will actively support initiatives, projects, and strategies with focus on on-going performance improvement. This role will require you to lead and motivate a team of Area Managers, Leads, Analysts, Cycle Counters, Inspectors and Researchers to achieve departmental goals and objectives. This will involve providing training and guidance to team members on inventory management processes and procedures and conduct performance evaluations and provides feedback to team members to foster professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite reviews and audits of Distribution Center functions and Pool Points.
  • Communicate with Distribution Centers, Pool Points, and Stores regarding inventory issues or concerns.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of warehouse or distribution experience.
  • 5 years of supervisory and/or management experience.
  • Inventory experience in a retail environment.
  • Knowledge of Inventory applications (i.e. WMS / Manhattan, Synapse, Oracle, CMS, Dematic).
  • Knowledge of SQL Developer.
  • Ability to lead and manage a rapidly changing, fast-paced, collaborative environment and culture.
  • Ability to analyze results, develop conclusions, and implement strategies.
