About the position
The DC Maintenance Tech II is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various facility-related equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety. This role ensures compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols while maintaining operational efficiency in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair on facility-related equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM's) within manufacturer's guidelines and established timelines.
- Monitor and test adjustments, repairs, or modifications to ensure safe operation.
- Log time and materials, maintain work orders, PMs, and inventory tracking in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Interpret plans, schematics, and maintenance manuals to perform tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures and safety procedures.
- Repair dock doors and perform rack installations as needed.
- Assist in battery maintenance and repairs for material handling equipment (MHE).
- Assist in forklift and conveyor preventative maintenance to ensure productivity and equipment performance.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and prepare updates to maintenance records and reports.
- Comply with lock out/tag out (LOTO) and Arc Flash guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of distribution or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Mechanical and industrial skills experience in HVAC, electrical, fire safety, and plumbing preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent; Technical/Trade School certificate preferred in facility maintenance or related areas.
