About The Position

The DC Operations Manager - Outbound at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for assisting the distribution center manager in overseeing the day-to-day outbound operations of a single distribution center. Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and people skills
• Above average computer skills
• 2+ years previous experience as a distribution center supervisor
• Proven ability to manage multiple departments within one distribution center.

Nice To Haves

• College degree or logistics certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Assist the DC manager to oversee all outbound operations of a single distribution center, including service, physical assets, operating costs, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures daily.
• Maintain payroll, budgeting, inventory integrity, and productivity of all outbound operations.
• Provide training, guidance, and counseling to each outbound team member.
• Manage a staff of 1-15 supervisors and up to 300 hourly team members.
• Provide leadership to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level.
• Establish annual goals for all outbound departments and develop plans to achieve these goals.
• Support effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices for outbound team members in collaboration with human resources.
• Conduct on-time performance evaluations of all outbound team members.
• Assist the DC manager with planning the annual operating budget and monitor departmental expenditures.
