About the position

The position involves operating a commercial truck within the company fleet to ensure safe, timely, and quality deliveries. The role requires adherence to company policies, procedures, and DOT regulations while executing daily responsibilities. The driver is responsible for maintaining vehicle cleanliness, conducting inspections, and ensuring proper delivery of merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and keep the interior clean.
• Follow designated routes as per company guidelines, including order of stops and directions.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections as per FMCSA regulations and company policy.
• Track Hours of Service (HOS) using company telematics or paper logs.
• Deliver merchandise to the correct locations according to freight bills and store location stickers.
• Verify and return all manifested returns to the distribution center.
• Secure loads, doors, and alarms before and after each stop.
• Run any required routes as directed by the supervisor.
• Train new team members and ensure training documentation is complete.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, logbook, and vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and valid DOT physical status.
• Pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol tests.
• Possess a current Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Previous experience with electric pallet jacks.
• Advanced mechanical abilities.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
