Responsibilities

• Monitor and control facility access.
• Screen all visitors for unauthorized items using handheld magnetometers, metal detectors, and x-ray machines.
• Perform COVID-19 pre-screenings.
• Maintain a command presence while interacting with the public.
• Report any security incidents or concerns to management.

Requirements

• Active DC SO license.
• High School Diploma / GED or higher.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Willingness to attend a 24-hour mandatory on-site training.
• Prior training and/or experience in basic security industry standards.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Possession of a current valid photo ID.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Working and reliable telephone number.
• Ability to provide verifiable employment references.
