About the position

As an Advanced DCS Field Service Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in providing field service support for Honeywell HPS applications and products at customer locations. Your primary responsibilities will include performing maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex Honeywell control systems, specifically EXPERION PKS, TPS/TDC300. In this position, you will serve as the main point of contact for customers, representing Honeywell and ensuring the successful implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of Honeywell HPS products. You will be expected to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives and provide first response technical support. Additionally, you will work closely with the Field Services Manager and LSS business functions to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions based on the HPS suite of products and services. The role requires you to act as the Area Migrations Lead or Branch/Regional Team Lead/Mentor, taking on a leadership role that extends beyond just being a site lead or technical lead. You will lead regional MAP efforts and champion branch migrations, handle complex SPOT and Project Scoping & Execution, and plan and provide complex reporting to support incidents, as well as proactive maintenance support. Your responsibilities will also include driving asset optimization for individual customers, performing DCS maintenance, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to Honeywell products. You will be working with voltages up to 110VAC and 40VDC, configuring and maintaining Honeywell products, and troubleshooting network connections of Ethernet and coaxial cabling. Modifying and editing HMI graphics will also be part of your duties, as you act as the focal point for Honeywell with the customer, providing technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field service support for Honeywell HPS applications and products at customer locations.
  • Perform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex Honeywell control systems.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, representing Honeywell and ensuring successful implementation and troubleshooting of products.
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives.

  • Learn the end-to-end product/solution development and delivery/execution of Honeywell products.
  • Troubleshoot network connections of Ethernet and coaxial cabling.
  • Modify and edit HMI graphics.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of OPM (On Process Migration) experience and/or L3 OPM Certification.
  • Must have and maintain at least one L4 CEAT certification and additional L3 certifications (for internal candidates) or able to obtain within 1 year (for external candidates).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time.
  • 4+ years of experience with Experion PKS Hardware & Software, including Hiway, TDC, & TPS system experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Math AND 3 years of experience OR 7 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a clear drug screening, including THC.
  • Background check will clear for TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).

Nice-to-haves

  • 3rd Party controls experience.
  • Experience in Virtualization hardware/software, setup and network configuration.
  • Knowledge of Open Systems such as Microcomputers and Networking Technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience & Training in Honeywell Applications such as TPS / PMIO, EPKS / Series C, Advanced Applications (PHD etc.), Safety Systems (FSC/SM), HMI, SCADA (PLCSs, Ladder Logic etc.).
  • Self-motivated and willing to work in demanding environments with little or no supervision.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $116,000 - $130,000 based on experience and qualifications.
