The DCVPA Substitute Teacher / Coach / Tutor position at the University of North Carolina Wilmington involves supporting students in grades K-8 during the absence of the classroom teacher, serving as a coach for middle school athletic teams, and providing tutoring for individual or small groups of students across all academic subjects. Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the assigned class and maintain order and safety.
• Execute the lesson plan left by the classroom teacher.
• Follow the assigned schedule for the classroom and supervise students during arrival, breakfast, transitions, lunch, and dismissal.
• Serve as a head or assistant coach for middle school boys' and girls' athletic teams.
• Provide constructive feedback and organize events and logistics for athletic activities.
• Support individual or small groups of students in all academic subjects.

Requirements

• High school diploma and experience working with children in a K-12 environment.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 or 4 year degree.
