About the position
The Direct Care Worker (DCW) position at Flagstar Nursing involves providing essential support to residents in Community Group Homes. The role focuses on assisting with daily living tasks, personal care, and ensuring that patients receive the necessary social and emotional support. DCWs will also communicate vital information regarding patient conditions to the House Manager, all while enjoying flexible scheduling options.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care services regarding hygiene, grooming, feeding, and supervision of daily activities.
- Transport residents to medical appointments and community events.
- Independently manage between 1 and 6 group home residents per shift.
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment for residents.
- Daily reporting of resident activity.
Requirements
- CPR/First Aid Certification from an In-Person Course.
- Meets all State and Federal requirements for US employment in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Reliable transportation to worksite location.
