About the position

The position involves leading the development of parts in accordance with the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology, ensuring timely execution while maintaining high-quality standards. The role requires strategic management of the investment budget to optimize resource allocation for quick returns. Responsibilities include tracking FTGs, analyzing quotes, managing prototype development, and expediting financial operations. The candidate will also be responsible for real-time updates on ROCM, collaborating with suppliers, establishing capacities, overseeing tooling agreements, and ensuring adherence to quality management systems. The position demands a proactive approach to supplier auditing, pricing decisions, change management, and enhancing supplier competencies, all while fostering collaboration within and outside the department.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead parts' development in alignment with APQP methodology, ensuring timely execution without compromising quality.
  • Strategize and implement the investment budget for optimal time and resource allocation.
  • Ensure timely development and tracking of FTGs with clear benchmarks and timelines.
  • Accelerate synthesis preparation for quotes for rapid decisions and quicker turnarounds.
  • Manage proto parts quotes' settlement and development for faster response times.
  • Expedite Capital & Revenue PR & PO releases and supplier capital payment releases with speed and precision.
  • Ensure real-time ROCM settlement and updates to eliminate lags.
  • Lead supplier interactions with a focus on immediate responses and clear SOP timelines.
  • Prioritize swift establishment of supplier capacities without quality compromises.
  • Oversee tooling agreements with speed and accuracy for timely implementations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to finalize processes quickly while integrating PFMEA and aligning with FTG concept design.
  • Expedite supplier audits for swift finalization of new sources and identification of existing source gaps.
  • Collaborate with the pricing team to quickly finalize new parts' costs and suggest VA/VE proposals.
  • Engage in Cross-Functional Teams (CFT) for immediate adaptability and swift change management processes.
  • Enhance supplier competencies through immediate technical assistance, training, and guidance.
  • Ensure instantaneous MIS preparations for real-time insights and decisions.
  • Foster speedy collaborations within and outside the department for real-time feedback loops.
  • Ensure stringent adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) specific to the CDMM department.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Competency in product and process knowledge related to battery proprietary components such as infotainment, instrument cluster, BCM, battery management sensors, HUD, USB docking, wireless charger, antenna, passive keyless entry system, and electronic steering lock.
  • Familiarity with APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Experience in part and tooling cost analysis and synthesis.
  • Knowledge of Gerber study and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Capacity analysis expertise.
  • Project management skills.
  • Tooling estimation and budget management experience.
  • Knowledge in packaging and logistics.
  • Familiarity with VAVE activities.
