About the position

At Palantir, we are dedicated to building software that addresses significant global challenges. Our Deal Support Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in our Deal Team, collaborating with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Engineering teams to engage with both existing and prospective commercial customers. This position is pivotal in structuring and discussing deal terms, ensuring that Palantir continues to make a positive impact in the world. As a member of the Commercial Deal Support Team, you will support Deal Team members in executing deals and scaling our sales efforts. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating the formulation of commercial deal terms, establishing relationships with internal partners, managing the deal pipeline, and enhancing visibility of deal progress and forecasting impact across all organizational levels. You will also be involved in various special projects that arise in our fast-paced, mission-driven environment. In this role, you will be expected to turn open-ended objectives into tangible outcomes, focusing on the broader vision while paying attention to the details. Your ability to deliver complex commercial contract and deal information in an understandable manner will be critical. You will manage high-touch collaborators in a constantly changing landscape, becoming adept at the intricate details of contracts that enable Palantir to implement its innovative technology to solve real-world problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Palantir's contracting and pricing processes to provide deal structuring and pricing support to Deal Team and Sales counterparts.
  • Draft materials in support of deal discussions, including pricing proposals and order forms.
  • Manage updates and accuracy of the commercial deal pipeline within Salesforce to align financial systems and commercial systems; work with relevant teams to identify and resolve variances.
  • Partner with Finance team to provide leadership with visibility of deal progress and forecasting impact while coordinating the flow of information across multiple teams, including Deal Team, Sales, Legal, Accounting, Finance to facilitate the deal process.
  • Drive adherence to internal controls, processes and business rules to enable growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of deal desk or related processes experience such as sales operations, finance, sales strategy, and sales enablement experience; SaaS or other technology company experience is a definite plus.
  • Strong program/project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet obligations with minimal supervision or administrative support.
  • Willingness and ability to work outside of standard business hours as needed.
