About the position

The Dealer Development Manager is responsible for partnering with the Market Growth Manager (MGM) to grow and retain existing dealer relationships. This role involves acting as a liaison between dealers and the MGM, addressing issues, and ensuring effective communication. The position requires collaboration with the Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to onboard new dealers and provide training on the Interstate system. The manager will also focus on building strategic relationships, executing sales growth strategies, and meeting established KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the MGM to grow and retain existing dealers.
  • Communicate dealer issues to the MGM for resolution.
  • Work with the TSM to set up and train new dealers on the Interstate system.
  • Provide competent service to resolve customer complaints.
  • Build strategic relationships with dealers in the local sales territory.
  • Create and execute sales growth strategies for new and existing dealers.
  • Meet or exceed established KPIs and sales goals.
  • Assist TSMs in closing high potential prospective customers as needed.
  • Attend and participate in relevant sales meetings regularly.
  • Conduct monthly distributor reviews to ensure sales growth strategies are on target.
  • Provide reports and sales information as required by the company.

Requirements

  • Business to business sales experience is preferred.
  • Automotive experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop sales teams.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer and results driven.
  • Concise and professional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office required.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Concur, Workday, Tableau is desired.
  • Challenger Sales Training preferred.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DOT medical certification is required.
  • Must successfully complete a post-offer criminal background check and drug test before beginning work.
