About the position

As a Dealer Development Paralegal at Volt, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dealer development process for a leading automotive manufacturer. Your primary responsibilities will include launching dealer packages as necessary and meticulously reviewing all dealer package submissions to ensure completeness of documentation and adherence to Dealer Sales and Service Agreements, policies, procedures, guidelines, and timing requirements, both internally and externally, including compliance with state statutes. You will be responsible for preparing all documentation related to new Sales and Service Agreements, including applicable provisions, renewals, amendments, buy/sells, and terminations. In addition to documentation preparation, you will update and maintain the national master file database, addressing any related inquiries and managing all activities associated with buy/sells, open points, or terminations. Monitoring ongoing dealer activities will be essential to ensure the accuracy and completeness of intercompany databases and master dealer files. You will also need to understand and support the various functions within the National and Region Dealer Network Development, acting as a liaison with Region/National/Legal/Outside Counsel to execute and achieve Market Representation assignments in a timely manner. Your role will also involve assisting in establishing departmental policy and procedure protocols regarding the evaluation of proposals to achieve both short and long-term company market representation objectives. You will generate and publish reports, identify and resolve DND systems issues, enhance communications on various Market Representation databases and websites, and support requests for ad hoc projects. Additionally, you will perform all other assigned duties that are ancillary to this position and complement the essential duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain the national master file database and manage inquiries related to buy/sells and terminations.
  • Monitor ongoing dealer activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of databases and master dealer files.
  • Act as a liaison with Region/National/Legal/Outside Counsel to execute Market Representation assignments.
  • Assist in establishing departmental policy and procedure protocols for evaluating proposals.

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of dealer development experience in the automotive field.
  • Strong background working with service agreements, NDAs, and contracts.
