About the position

The Dealer Incentive Senior Analyst position at Ally Financial is responsible for providing reporting and analytical support for the U.S. Insurance F&I Sales team, executive leadership, and participating dealerships. This role involves developing incentive reporting, performance analytics, and leading projects to create effective dealer incentives while introducing operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills, attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, working in a flexible hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Service the sales organization with dealer incentives to support corporate objectives
  • Develop and maintain data analytics designed to assure robust incentive payment controls, assess trends, program performance and quality assurance
  • Complete incentive administration, scheduled deliverables, budgets and forecasts
  • Build out incentive reporting, both ongoing and ad hoc, using a variety of analytical tools
  • Lead projects working closely with leaders and provide insight for the development of new incentive strategies, tools, and processes
  • Drive process improvements and strive to eliminate risk of error to manual processes through automation and analytical techniques
  • Provide mentorship, technical and analytical guidance to team members

Requirements

  • 3+ years reporting and analytics experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; major in an analytical field such as business analytics, finance, accounting, or related field preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerBI or similar tools required
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven analytical skills with ability to draw conclusions from data that can support strategic decision making
  • Proven experience with contributing and leading projects
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge/experience in financial services and the automotive industry preferred
