About the position

The Dealer Sales Representative at Grand Canyon Builders is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers and dealers, driving sales growth, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves promoting utility trailers, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions to meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various utility trailers, including their specifications, features, and benefits.
  • Actively seek out new customers and dealers to expand the business by identifying and pursuing sales leads and opportunities.
  • Conduct sales presentations, both in-person and virtually, to demonstrate the features and advantages of the trailers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, market conditions, and customer preferences.
  • Negotiate, prepare and provide quotes based on customer specifications and needs.
  • Work closely with production teams to coordinate efforts and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing dealers and customers, following up after sales transactions.
  • Engage with potential customers for sales inquiries, understanding their needs to recommend the right trailers.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers after the sale, addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Handle customer complaints or queries with professionalism and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and track sales performance metrics to meet or exceed targets.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and provide feedback to management regarding sales performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to understand and analyze customer needs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience working with dealers or within a dealership network.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with the product range relevant to manufacturing utility trailers.
