About the position
The Dean of the Bitonte College of Dentistry is a key leadership role responsible for providing overall vision, strategy, and administrative oversight for the college's educational, research, clinical, and public service missions. The Dean will engage with faculty, staff, and external partners to foster collaboration and ensure the college's success while maintaining a focus on community engagement and student success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the chief executive and academic officer for the College of Dentistry.
- Provide administrative and academic leadership for the programs and missions of the college.
- Develop and execute resource plans and budgets to further the college mission.
- Strengthen and create sustainable partnerships with regional health care systems.
- Engage in meaningful fundraising activities to encourage philanthropic giving to the college.
- Develop and implement a community engagement and recruiting strategy for new students.
- Support policies and practices that recognize the importance of recruitment and retention, development, diversity, and talent management.
- Create and support a culture of collaboration and integration that ensures excellent education and research.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD from an accredited college or university with decanal experience in dental education.
- Minimum of five years experience in dental education administration and leadership positions.
- Licensed or eligible for a dental license in the State of Ohio.
- Eligible for appointment at the rank of Full Professor in the Bitonte College of Dentistry.
