About the position

The Dean of Undergraduate Admissions at Marquette University is responsible for developing and overseeing undergraduate enrollment strategies that align with the university's mission and strategic goals. This role involves leading a team of professional and student staff to recruit a diverse cohort of new undergraduate students, utilizing data-informed strategies to meet enrollment targets. The Dean will collaborate with various campus units to enhance recruitment efforts and represent the university at external events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to recruit a talented and diverse cohort of new undergraduate students.
  • Develop and communicate plans to generate the applicant and admit pool necessary to achieve enrollment targets.
  • Supervise professional and student staff, ensuring alignment with institutional mission and departmental expectations.
  • Implement data-driven strategies for domestic and international recruitment, marketing, and community outreach.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts related to undergraduate enrollment and student success.
  • Present to external audiences to enhance Marquette's brand and generate interest in enrollment.
  • Oversee departmental budget and resource allocation to fulfill enrollment goals.
  • Develop and maintain enrollment marketing strategies for consistent branding and messaging.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with a minimum of eight years of related admissions experience, or a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of related admissions experience.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Creative self-starter with knowledge of communication demands for multiple audiences, particularly high school students and their parents.
  • Proven record of creative content development.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with campus partners and vendors.
  • Familiarity with Marquette's brand and student experience is required.
  • Competency with multiple social media platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
