About the position

The Debug System Engineer will play a crucial role in NVIDIA's datacenter product engineering team, focusing on debugging and ensuring the quality of GPU Server products as they transition from design to mass production. This position involves collaborating with various teams to enhance product performance and reliability, while also engaging with overseas manufacturing teams to optimize production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Debug Datacenter DGX and HGX products to root cause factory build and field return issues.
  • Perform failure analysis (FA) on GPU baseboards and servers at rack, system, and/or component level.
  • Design experiments and collect/analyze data for failure analysis.
  • Work with the team to deliver products according to schedule.
  • Provide root cause and corrective action in a timely manner.
  • Write clear and complete reports detailing steps taken and findings.
  • Communicate with industry vendors and suppliers as well as internal/external engineers and factory personnel teams in the US and overseas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years working experience in a related field.
  • Failure analysis or debug experience on motherboards/graphic cards/servers/PCs.
  • Solid understanding and strong skills in one or more areas of: Hardware/Software/Component/Process/Test/Validation.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
