Deburr Technician

About the position

The Deburr Technician role at Aleron involves setting up and operating grinding machines to remove excess material from surfaces of semi-mechatronic products. This position is essential in ensuring the quality and precision of metal workpieces through various finishing processes.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating grinding and related tools to remove excess material or burrs from surfaces.
• Removing raised particles and shavings from parts.
• Repetitive filing or using a grinder to smooth away nicks and fragments.
• Sanding by hand or with a pneumatic hand tool for troublesome deformities.
• Washing and polishing parts prior to inspection.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in setting up and operating grinding and related tools.
• Ability to sharpen edges or corners, and buff or polish metal workpieces.
• Comfort using grinding and sanding tools.
• Ability to work in a labor-intensive environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Interest in Shop Class.
• Experience or interest in Machine Operator Trade.
• Diversity candidate a plus.

Benefits

• Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour.
• Contract duration with specified shift hours (M-F) 6 am-2:30 pm.
