Responsibilities

  • Operates the printer, trains and offers aid to other operators.
  • Verifies proper setup of printer equipment.
  • Inspects printers for quality defects in the manufacturing process.
  • Performs label design changeover setups.
  • Performs preventative maintenance assignments.
  • Performs hourly quality control checks to ensure printer and related equipment is within specifications.
  • Audits printer applications to ensure SOP specifications are met.
  • Analyze spoilage, record causes and take corrective actions where applicable.
  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports all problems to supervision.
  • Follows all SOP operating procedures.
  • Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

Requirements

  • Candidate must successfully pass a Crown Color/Hue test.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years working experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).
  • An Associates/technical degree is preferred or a related vocational/technical certification (journeyman card, technical license, etc.).
  • Strong proven working experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting skills and equipment re-build expertise are required for these roles.
  • Experience in using controls and settings on high-speed automated equipment.
  • High competency in the use of micrometers, calipers and related equipment.
  • Strong math and computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics and parts specifications.
  • Effective and proven communication skills working in a team environment.
