About the position

The Decorator (Interior Designer) position at El Dorado Furniture involves enhancing the aesthetic appeal of showrooms and assisting customers with their interior design needs. This role requires creativity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure while providing excellent customer service. The decorator will be responsible for daily maintenance of showrooms, assisting with furniture layouts, and supporting events both in-store and at customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily tune-up of showrooms and common areas.
• In charge of decorating designated showrooms.
• Assist customers with furniture floor plans and accessories selection, both in-store and at the customer's home.
• Report any merchandise movement in the assigned showroom in writing on a daily basis.
• Assist in events or activities inside or outside of the store.
• Provide support decorating additional showrooms in different store locations when needed.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and standing.

Requirements

• Must have 3 years of experience in Interior Design.
• Creative with excellent interpersonal skills and sales orientation.
• Strong visualization skills and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Computer literate and fashion-oriented.
• Reliable, with problem-solving skills and flexibility.
• Willingness to work under pressure.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Considered a thought leader on a subject in interior design.
