Decorator (Part Time)

About the position

Publix Super Markets is seeking part-time cake decorators to join their team at the West Paces Ferry location in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service while decorating cakes, managing special orders, and maintaining product quality and sanitation standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in a retail or hospitality environment and a passion for customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions.
• Ices, decorates, packages, labels, and prices products for island refrigerator cases.
• Fills customer special orders, including wedding cakes.
• Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions.
• Operates the Bakery department mixer.
• Follows Publix's guidelines for cake decorators and maintains high standards for product freshness and sanitation.
• Organizes and rotates stock in the Decorator's freezer.
• Assists in other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge and experience in a retail, hospitality, or commercial environment as a cake decorator, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, write, and do simple math problems.
• Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
