About the position

The Team Driver position at XPO involves working as part of an existing driving team to transport freight between XPO facilities. This role requires a valid Class A commercial driver's license and various endorsements, with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Team Drivers will operate long distances, typically working five days a week and being home weekly, while ensuring effective communication and coordination with dispatchers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Run loads between XPO facilities for pickup and drop off.
• Navigate various routes, maintain CMV safety, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
• Operate various tractor-trailer combinations over long distances in a typical 5-day work week away from home.
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs.).
• Safely climb in/out of tractor cab/trailer.
• Sit for extended periods in a truck tractor.
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel.
• Operate a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutive hours; in all types of weather, while safely transporting all freight types.

Requirements

• Be a member of an existing team.
• Able to partner with another driver in a sleeper tractor on extended runs.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a valid Class A commercial driver's license.
• Have a working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOT physical.
• Available to work away from home in a five-day work week.
• Possess hazardous materials, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements.
